We know we're not the only midwest band that is excited to have the Folk Alliance conference set up right in our own back yard this year! Just down the road in Kansas City, this international trade show and Folk music conference is about to be underway. Bands and industry professionals from around the world will be in attendance strutting their stuff and trying their best to get noticed by the buyers, labels, and promoters on hand. Yours truly will be wading through those ranks, but thankfully, we have been chosen as an official showcase band for this years conference! Those of you in attendance can catch our official showcase on Sat Feb 22nd at 9pm in the Shawnee room as well as an unofficial showcase with our friends in the Steam Powered Preservation Society suite (648) at 12:30 am Sat night.
For those of you attending the Winter Music Camp, you can catch our group workshops as well as some great Dobro workshops hosted by our very own Chad Graves. The group workshops are at 5pm on Friday "Harnessing the Power of Harmonies", and 5pm on Saturday "Old School - Single Mic Technique for the Modern Era". For a complete listing of Chad's Dobro workshops which begin on Thursday and go through Sunday, please see the Winter Music Camp Schedule.
And as a special bonus to those of you who can't or won't be at this years conference, we will be performing at the Canoe Club in Lake Lotawana, MO just a few mins SE of Kansas City! Hope to see you there! :)
